Killer Whales: The Wolves Of The Sea
Experience an unforgettable evening of storytelling, science and adventure with a special screening of Wolves of the Sea - the iconic documentary exploring the remarkable lives of killer whales, one of the ocean's most powerful apex predators.
Filmed in spectacular locations around the world and narrated by David Attenborough, the documentary combines breath-taking cinematography with compelling storytelling to uncover the secret lives and extraordinary behaviours of these intelligent marine mammals. Audiences will witness fascinating moments, from the unique belly-rubbing behaviour observed in Canada to the dramatic intentional beaching techniques used to hunt seals and sea lions along the coast of Argentina.
Before the screening, acclaimed wildlife filmmaker David Parer and killer whale researcher David Donnelly will join ABC science journalist Belinda Smith for a special panel discussion. Together, they will share behind-the-scenes stories from the making of the film, insights from years of field research, and the latest discoveries helping scientists better understand and protect killer whales.
Following the documentary, guests will have the opportunity to participate in an engaging audience Question and Answer, offering a rare chance to hear directly from the filmmakers and researchers behind this extraordinary project.
