2022 Tarra Festival
Sunday 17th April
2022 will mark the 50th anniversary of the Tarra Festival, which will be returning after a COVID enforced hiatus. Bigger, brighter and more exciting than ever before, the festival will bring Gippsland alive over Easter with around 50 events over the long weekend The theme for 2022 - 'Born in the 70's - Fifty & Fabulous!'.
The must-see activity is the Street Parade on Easter Saturday which includes floats from the local schools and community groups, horses, penny farthings, vintage cars, trucks and more. There are street entertainers, food trucks and heaps of fun for everyone.
On Sunday in Port Albert there's the 'Together we are One' Fair and fireworks. Across the long weekend there are three different markets, a massive range of sport and recreation, the renowned Rotary Art Show, an Easter Carnival with sideshows and carnival rides, exhibitions and displays from most community groups, concerts and live performances and anything else the town can think of turning on and showing off.
While you're in town you can do a tour of the famous HEESCO murals which won gold at the 2021 Street Art Awards.
Whatever you are doing at Easter long weekend, why not experience Tarra Festival and make sure you do not miss one of Gippsland's biggest and most popular events.
