Fishy Stories - Fish Creek Children's Festival of Stories

Fishy Stories is a celebration of the ageless art of making stories.
The festival is the realisation of Fish Creek’s unique standing as a destination for children’s literature and storytelling and recognises the joy in cultivating, inspiring and sparking imagination.
The day will hold a burst of creativity and activity through performances and workshops with nationwide renowned performers, authors and illustrators to immerse children in the enchanting world of stories.
Those who attend will leave with a dazzling sense of creative possibility and a deep pride in the local Fish Creek community.
The two day festival in Fish Creek is where families both residential and visiting will converge on Fish Creek on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November 2023 for a weekend of free workshops by authors and illustrators, ticketed children’s performances in Cirque Disarray, Dr Hubble and Luigi Zucchini, selected Writing Challenge stories being performed live by actors and storytellers, presentations from the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, MyLi Libraries and events all day storytelling and story making.
