Inverloch Kongwak Primary School’s Art Exhibition - Mangroves

Inverloch Primary School’s Visual Art Exhibition is open from 1 November running until the 30th, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.00pm, Saturday and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm at the Inverloch Community Hub.

This exhibition includes every student artist from prep through to grade 6. All works are year level collaborations canvas paintings.

This year Inverloch Kongwak Primary School is focusing on the local Mangroves as the subject matter for their exhibition.

The students have been studying what lives in this fragile eco-system and how this Victorian species (Avicennia Marina) survives and thrives as a coastal dwelling tree that is unique and proliferate.

As the Mangroves are now on the threatened list of species the students hope to raise the awareness of this important eco-system in their local area.

All works are for sale by silent auction and proceeds go directly to the school.
