Joy Runge's art experience began in 2020 when Covid required people to be isolated and she needed to find an activity that she enjoyed.

As a schoolteacher, Joy had always incorporated art into teaching in many of the subject areas and had planned and coordinated whole school art activities in three of the local schools.
