Beginners Breadmaking Class - Bass Coast

Breadmaking began over 14,000 years ago, originating from prehistoric foragers grinding wild grains into paste to make flatbreads, predating agriculture. Egyptians (c. 3000 BCE) accidentally discovered leavened bread, utilizing yeast to create airy loaves.

There has been a huge response from the community to the idea of getting together and learning how to make bread.

I having been baking sourdough for about a decade and there are a few other locals who bake their own traditional yeasted and sourdough breads who are happy to come along and show us their methods and techniques.

The idea is to get together on a lazy Sunday afternoon and learn how to make your own bread at home, share a cuppa, chat and slice of freshly baked bread and make some new friends.

Nothing to lose and everything to gain!

$10 fee will go towards hall hire, insurance and to the demonstrator to cover their costs.
