And he’s back! It’s been six years since Willie Watson played on Australian stages and due to popular demand, get ready to welcome the folksinger, storyteller and troubadour back to these shores.
For over two decades, Willie Watson has made modern folk music rooted in older traditions. Hailing from Watkins Glen in upstate New York, the legendary founding member of Old Crow Medicine Show – one of the most respected bands within the realm of modern Americana – will bring his rucksack of feelgood songs and stories to Meeniyan this October.
From his early days with Old Crow Medicine Show, to his current work as a solo artist, Willie is a celebrated musician with a rich vocal range, a top interpreter of the folk canon and a highly skilled multi-instrumentalist. Go see this show.
